With Pegasus Dance, made in the Netherlands in 2007 in collaboration with the Rotterdam riot police, Fernando Sánchez Castillo revises the functions that are generally associated with power, in this case, the anti-riot water cannon vehicles. The vehicles play out a dance set to a Strauss waltz. Through their series of circular motions, the two vehicles act out a sort of melodrama, replete with a sense of romance, longing, and triumph. Spitting Leaders, compuesta por cuatro fuentes exentas de bronce que se colocarán en uno de los estanques del parque público Borély. Las fuentes representan a Luis XIV, Stalin, Hitler y Franco mientras se lanzan agua unos a otros a través de la boca. Con esta pieza el autor indaga en la relación entre arte y poder, entre la memoria histórica colectiva y la fuerza y presencia de determinados símbolos en la sociedad actual.
