Walls, Windows and Blood . 2024
Catherine Opie (b. 1961, Sandusky, Ohio) is considered one of the leading photographers of her generation and has over the past twenty years created a boldly original and complex body of photographic work that explores notions of communal, sexual, and cultural identity. Walls, Windows, and Blood arrives a decade after Opie’s last installation at Peder Lund. The exhibition is a testament to her evolving artistic journey and represents her third showcase at the gallery. We are eagerly anticipating the opportunity to reintroduce the work of this incomparable artist to the Norwegian public once more.
