At first glance, Thea Djordjadze’s sculptural pieces are not always readily identifiable as such; she often creates extensive installations that she develops on site in response to the particular space or the context of an institution. Sometimes, her artistic practice intervenes deeply in institutional structures and could be understood as a process of constant contextualization, reconfiguration and rearranging existing and new objects, in a sense like a permanent temporary solution.
