This scheme places a two-storey contemporary dwelling onto a vacant plot, located at the intersection between gardens of back to back terraced houses, in an established residential area, Peckham. The building geometry, orientation and size is driven by the site constraints of two non-parallel boundary conditions, issues of privacy within neighbouring gardens and rights of light to existing neighbouring windows. The London Borough of Hounslow approved plans by Duggan Morris Architects for the redevelopment of a riverside site in Brentford. The project, a joint venture between the developer Bluescape Ltd and Topland Group PLC, proposes 193 new market sale homes. Since 2001, Argent have planned, managed and delivered the regeneration of King’s Cross – one of the most significant urban development projects in the UK. The 67 acre site has a rich history and a unique setting. With a master plan designed by Allies & Morrison in collaboration with Porphyrios Associates, the proposals for R7 have been developed through a progressive process of consultations between Argent, the officers of London Borough of Camden and other relevant stakeholders and local bodies.
