LV26 GYMNASIUM, ON TRACK . Lliçà de Vall

The assignment requires the expansion of a municipal gymnasium.
We are on the western edge of Lliçà de Vall; between the agricultural valley of Tenes and the industrial plain of Vallès Oriental.
In the plot, these two different realities stand out. On the one hand, an old prefabricated concrete sports pavilion, a cement track that has fallen into disuse and a set of railings built with galvanized sheets that give the site a marked industrial character. On the other, a small grouping of pine trees on the NE side of the site, a soft sablon ground and a wooded background, reminiscent of the less present wild nature of the place. Nos encontramos en el interior de una de las plantas bajas comerciales, que existen en la calle Alfonso XII de Barcelona. El proyecto se sitúa, en los 60m2, que ocupa el espacio principal de una antigua tienda de ropa. La superficie encontrada, con un único frente iluminado a Este, ensombrecido por la altura de la fachada trasera de la Clínica del Pilar, se propone convertir en despacho de arquitectura. HOUSE ON A BRICK BASE . St. Vicenç dels Horts

The plot is located approximately 20km from Barcelona, in a residential neighborhood of St. Vicenç dels Horts. It is bordered to the east, west, and south by a set of built parcels, and opens to the north, to Valls Street. The land has two distinct levels. On the upper level, an old tool shed reveals the agricultural origin of the site. On the lower level, a small dilapidated building invites the construction of a new home, recalling old building traditions of the area. Continue reading Ágora arquitectura

We are in Baix Empordà. On top of a small cliff, overlooking a set of fields full of sunflowers. Facing the sea, strongly stalked by the Tramontana winds. Behind an old wall of a house, which guards its farmhouse and annex territory in ruins. Continue reading Agora
