new contemporary pavilion “Nicolas Ruinart” . Reims

Sou Fujimoto Architects

After three years of renovation, under the lead of Sou Fujimoto, interior designer Gwenaël Nicolas and landscape artist Christophe Gautrand, Maison Ruinart in Reims is set to reopen.

With this project, the Maison perpetuates the founder’s dream, who wanted to make out of this site, at the 4 rue des Crayères, the quintessence of the Maison: where know-how and creativity merge, where modernity and tradition combine.

The ambition is to embody Ruinart’s universe through its cultural and artistic imprint and its commitment to sustainability. The Maison aims at offering the public an immersive experience bringing together nature, culture, history, art of living and know-how.

The project is symbolized by a new contemporary pavilion “Nicolas Ruinart”, named after the founder, and imagined by the architect Sou Fujimoto. Coexisting with the historic buildings, this contemporary architecture will bring positive tension between modernity and tradition.
