The idea is a co-working office elevated above a bustling piazza. The office is a gridded structure supported by the surrounding building facade reinforced with additional surfaces to accommodate the increased load. A hidden truss system within the circular walls and floors imparts an ornamental, textile-like appearance. A central core provides access to the office above, with fire escapes attached at the exterior in the most pragmatic way. The top level comprises a fusion of indoor and outdoor spaces, with strategically placed voids serving as courtyards within the office landscape. Beneath the office, a gym overlooks the piazza.
The co-working office is a new open space in the air where individuals can detach themselves from the city’s hustle and bustle whilst still being connected to the urban fabric, living, and working above the piazza.
