Ooki – Interior of a Japanese Guesthouse . Zurich

A former groundfloor-space has been transformed into a new izakaya restaurant. A carefully crafted consistent interior of plywood, exposed and polished concrete and rough steel defines the space and generates a warm, gentle atmosphere. Individually designed and carefully crafted details contrast the direct material, and point out the haptic quality of walls, floor and ceiling.
