MVRDV’s response to a new Russian Smart School initiative comes in the form of an educational facility in Irkutsk. Combining idealism with realism this project forms a hybrid of both city and landscape, and sets its main goal as teaching about the diversity and challenges of life. A combination of different programmes, shapes, colours and technologies are inter-woven with natural environments, turning the site into a catalogue of ideals. Continue reading MVRDV

El proyecto se desarrolla en un galpón construido a mediados del siglo pasado, ubicado sobre la calle Ramírez de Velasco, entre Darwin y el cruce ferroviario de la línea San Martín. Su fachada anodina no anuncia el enorme espacio que crece hacia el interior

Il progetto per l’edificio di ampliamento della Scuola professionale alberghiera “Savoy” a Merano è risultato vincitore attraverso un concorso di progettazione aperto ai liberi professionisti dell’Unione Europea. Il contesto urbanistico dell’intervento è di valore storico ed è contraddistinto dall’edificio esistente del “Savoy” sottoposto a tutela delle Belle Arti, da numerose ville storiche in stile liberty con tetti mansardati e dal verde dei parchi circostanti e della passeggiata lungo il torrente Passirio.
