Mark was born 12 years ago as a Frame magazine spin-off in order to give architecture a place of its own. In these years Mark has gained a great reputation worldwide, and a loyal readership. It has proven to be a timely, visual, non-academic publication that explores the boundaries of architecture and anticipates the industry's future. This year we’ve published the 70th issue of Mark. The year 2017 also marked the 20th anniversary of Frame. In this anniversary year we have had time to look forward to the next 20 years. At Frame, we have always believed that meaningful spaces enable people to work, shop, relax and live better, making them happier and healthier. That is why our mission is to empower spatial excellence by connecting talented designers to visionary clients and the best makers. The past years we have done this primarily by producing magazines. Looking forward we believe that to fulfil our mission, Frame as a brand has to grow beyond print alone. That is why we want to focus all our efforts to grow into a stronger brand and bigger platform. Next to Frame magazine we are currently working on the Frame Awards, stronger digital content, events and of course books on interior design and architecture. This refocus also means that we have to make choices if we are to achieve our goal. One of the consequences is that we will cease to publish Mark magazine. We hope to interest you, the Mark reader, with the wider Frame platform, since architecture has always been close to us and it will get a proper place throughout Frame.
